NEIGHBORHOOD: Sunny Isles Beach

The top penthouse at the Mansions at Acqualina, part of the decadent Acqualina resort that's so popular with Russian oligarchs and their mistresses, has sold for a whopping $27 million. According to a publicist, that makes it the third most expensive condo sale in Miami-Dade County, ever.

One of the latest in the conga line extravagant condo towers lining the ocean in Sunny Isles Beach, Turnberry Ocean Club released a batch of new renderings of its interior public spaces and hotel-like guest suites that are offered to the guests of residents when they come visit. Unlike many other buildings, which have guest suites that residents must pay to use, these two suites will be complementary for residents to reserve in advance. The other new renderings include a coffee shop, one of the three residents-only restaurants, and the grand lobby.

The Jills, a star broker duo, is facing serious allegations of manipulating the MLS to inflate their performance, an act which adversely affects everything from home appraisal amounts, mortgages, and market-wide data. It can have far-reaching effects for the entire industry. They've blamed an employee, saying they were unaware of it happening, but were removed from the elite Master Brokers Forum anyway.

This month is Miami Spa Month 2018, when spas all over the city offer deals on their swankiest services. Residents of most of Miami's plushest condo towers, however have luxury spas and bathing facilities at their beckoning all year. From Turkish hammams to brain-fitness sessions (whatever those are), here are three of the sweetest spreads for luxuriating any time you want... if you live there.

Smell is the ignored sense of architecture, so to speak. While the way a building looks and handles sound (soundproofing, for example), and how the materials used to build it feel are all greatly considered, the experience of smell is often overlooked.
