The Brightline is the closest Miami could get to a bullet train anytime soon, and it’s coming to Miami this weekend. The high speed train, which builds up speed as it heads north out of Miami-Dade County and South Florida, will eventually reach Orlando International Airport. For many South Floridians, fast and efficient passenger rail on the old Florida East Coast Railways is a dream, or a fantasy come true. And yes, for some others, its pretty damn bizarre. But this is the future, people. Watch it go by.
