When you consider that South Florida’s commuter rail network is finally accessing South Florida’s urban core, this is big news no matter how you slice it. The Big Bubble Takes a Ride on The Brightline

The Big Bubble recently took a ride on the Brightline, the new-fangled high speed train running between Miami and Palm Beach. Going from Miami to West Palm took about an hour and fifteen minutes, and was a comfortable ride through the urban cores of three counties.

The Brightline is the closest Miami could get to a bullet train anytime soon, and it's coming to Miami this weekend. The high speed train, which builds up speed as it heads north out of Miami-Dade County and South Florida, will eventually reach Orlando International Airport.

Construction of Brightline’s Massive Downtown Miami Station Thundering Ahead

The massive train station called MiamiCenral that will be the Downtown Miami terminus of the Florida East Coast Railway's Brightline (formerly known as All Aboard Florida) is taking shape on a long strand of city blocks stretching north from the Dade County Courthouse.
