Kimpton Hotel Palomar South Beach Opening Pushed Back to Late January 2020

Back in September, we reported that the Kimpton Hotel Palomar South Beach would open in late 2019. Well, guess what? 2019 has practically come and gone, and although construction at the hotel is on the home stretch, it still hasn’t opened. The latest word from the hotel’s publicist is that a tentative January 27th opening date has been set.

Delayed openings aren’t exactly unusual for hotels, particularly in Miami. So, this isn’t exactly surprising… at all. The hotel is located in a booming corner of South Beach that until only a few years ago was rather bleak and didn’t have any hotels, or much of a reason to be there at all. Now, there are multiple hotels. Oh, and Trader Joe’s is just around the corner.

While you’re waiting for the hotel to open, check out the hotel’s guest room interiors, below. Photos of a model room show light woods, pale fabrics, creative accent lighting, contemporary furnishings, and a balcony.

Previous BB coverage: New Kimpton South Beach hotel says it’s opening this year as construction continues.
