Built in 2016, this big contemporary mansion mixes the Miami Beach aesthetic with some architectural variety, including bright neon orange accent walls sprinkled throughout. Although the house might look like a race car that’s about to take a dip in the bay, the interior designer should get a lot of credit for working with what they had and actually making the interiors pretty gorgeous.
This 10,754 square foot house on Hibiscus Island comes tricked out with all the standard luxe amenities you’d expect from a house listed for $28 million in Miami Beach. Check out the fabulous infinity pool, two story entrance hall with floating staircase, large roof deck with full kitchen, home theater, five bedrooms, breezeway, and huge movable glass walls that can retract and open the giant interiors up to the bay. It’s also on a very nicely sized lot, with enough lateral water footage at 122 feet for a pretty damn big yacht.
Located at 370 Hibiscus Drive, it’s been on the market for 445 days as of this writing. It was originally listed in May of 2018 for $38 million, and has had three price cuts since. Right now it’s listed at $28,800,000 by Sonia Gherardi and Albert Justo with ONE Sotheby’s International Realty. Oh, and according to a publicist, DJ Khaled had a “daycation” at the house. Hopefully the bottles were poppin.’
You asked, so I’ll tell you. It’s a mess. A mish-mash of shapes and architectural languages which speak different dialects and don’t understand each other, and none of whom speak the language of Miami. Designed by throwing in every little ‘modernist’ trick around. The only nice thing is the sculptural spiral stair. Architect should learn to edit, which is the most difficult thing to do. Now you know.
