Miami is a city of interesting architecture and interior design. Those million dollar condos in buildings designed by some of the most famous and interesting international architects in the business (here’s looking at you One Thousand Museum, Park Grove, and Jade Signature) are magnificent blank canvases. Here are five local interior design firms working to make our city more beautiful and unique, inside and out.
The Fairwind Hotel, which upon completion will be a collection of restored art deco, postwar modern, and contemporary buildings clustered around an open central court, and which has been in the works for, like, over ten years, is finally nearing completion in South Beach.
On the completion of a two-year renovation (sorry, these pictures are about a month old. Sue me.) the Betsy South Beach is unveiling its new wing tonight at a New Years Eve party.
Louver House, a low-rise urban infill (okay, more of a mid-rise in the context of South Beach) condo South-of-Fifth recently topped off and its developers are holding a little topping off party very soon. It was designed by the fabulous local architect Rene Gonzalez. The party's on the roof of the building, which is still very much under construction. No I'm not saying when. It's a private party, so keep your hoi-paloi ass at home.
