Have you ever heard of Henry End? Nope? Well, neither has the Big Bubble, but apparently he was a prominent South Florida architect in the midcentury period known for his hotel and restaurant design, and he also did this spectacular Miami Shores house in 1959.

Unfortunately End appears to have been overlooked a bit by history. Googling him provides scant little information except an announcement that he was a hall of fame inductee for Interior Design Magazine in 1985. According to the blurb, he was a preeminent hotel and restaurant design specialist, and his work included the Plaza Hotel in New York. His architectural firm was called Henry End Associates, and located in Coral Gables.

Listed for $1.75 million, the 3300 square foot house is flooded with natural light, and has views of the pool and back yard from every room. A 22 month renovation sensitively restored the house’s best features, while updating the kitchen, and bathrooms. It comes with four bedrooms and three baths. Finally, it has a brand new roof, plumbing, and additions, as well as spectacular 17 foot ceilings in the soaring living room.
