Rare 1970s Time Capsule at the Swinging Palm Bay Club Hits the Market

The Palm Bay Club was the destination for the fabulous glitterati of 1970s Miami. In 1965, Sports Illustrated called it ‘Connie’s Club for Homeless Glitterbugs,’ referencing its creator Connie Dinkler. I found an old article somewhere that said Vidal Sassoon himself came once and did everyone’s hair. The Palm Bay Club has mellowed since then but the main tower is still a prized address for Miamians that really know what they’re doing.

This unit, number 5W,  is a two bedroom, four bath, 1,763 square foot spread in the tower, with curving walls, fabulous balconies, and hardly a straight line in the joint. The furniture and adornments make it a perfectly preserved time capsule for the Palm Bay’s more halcyon days. It’s on the market for $750,000.
