In the heart of Miami’s Upper East Side, a.k.a. the MiMo District, or Miami Modern District, an iconic sign depicting an adorable, bare-bottomed toddler, her bathing suit being yanked down by a little doggie, and no bathing suit top in existence, graces a swinging midcentury building. A historic advertisement for Coppertone tanning oil, which was invented in Miami, the sign was originally created in 1959 and has been located in a few different places around town, finally arriving at this small office building in 2008 due to the efforts of historic preservationists and the Dade Heritage Trust. Now the building can be yours, sign and all, and is listed for sale for a cool $9.5 million. While the sign is definitely its most unforgettable element, inside the 21,000 square foot building is quaint and efficient, with retro yet utilitarian vibes, and is fully leased.
