Listed four days ago, this house at 2040 Coral Reef Drive, in Lauderdale by the Sea, was designed by one of FTL’s classic midcentury residential architects, Dan Duckham, and built back in 1963.

The house appears to have pretty much every bit of its midcentury modern Floridian flair intact. It’s on the market for just under $1 million. The house was on the New York Times’ real estate listings, although the BB found it on a South Florida midcentury modern Facebook group. Yes, the appliances have been updated, tastefully, and there aren’t any listing photos of the bathrooms. Fingers crossed they kept the originals, although maybe they left the photos out because they kept the originals and they know many buyers can be a bit shortsighted when appreciating the beauty of a vintage power room.

Check out the strides taken by the owners to preserve, restore, and treasure so many of the classic touches, like the craggy stone coffee table in the living room, the built-ins in the bedrooms, the free-form geometric pool, and the hexagonal kitchen counters. This joint is a swinging showstopper. Read on for the brokerbabble and lots of photos:
