El Tucán, that magnificent cabaret in Brickell, with its elaborate live floor shows, has had a renovation to allow it to become a nightclub with dancing later in the evening. Of course, the cabaret shows will continue, and now they have a dance floor for those shows to spill out on too. This is what is called a ‘floor show.’ And floor shows are incredible. Let’s hope for a few numbers with ladies in very big headdresses.
The press release, put together by JennyLee Molina’s team, is a great read:
Never one to shy away from a good time, El Tucán is taking their sexy cabaret concept to the next level and giving Brickell the nightlife scene its been longingly waiting for as the new El Tucán Cabaret and Nightclub. Launching Thursday, November 30, the vibe-dining scene will add “nightclub” to its impressive resume. El Tucán invites late-night revelers to dance into the wee hours of the morning (5am closing) beginning with a powerhouse set by local legend DJ Irie and friends.
Inspired by the late-night dancing that followed their dazzling stage show, El Tucán has transformed their space to better accommodate their “who’s who” clientele. Plenty of new lush upgrades were made to the venue including cushy new black velvet banquettes, large tables and a massive, elevated DJ booth overlooking the dance floor with ultra-high-end sound equipment and lighting systems. The second floor now features an exclusive VIP area with optimized views of the DJ booth and intimate enclaves for sipping some of the venue’s signature cocktails and enjoying their premium bottle service. Guests will also be able to mingle between adjacent sister property Marion, whose Thursday Soirée recently celebrated a successful first anniversary and has quickly become Brickell’s hottest weekly dinner party.
With a longstanding reputation of creating trend-setting vibe dining destinations in Miami, Mr. Hospitality—the pioneer behind El Tucán, Marion and Bâoli—is set to make El Tucán Nightclub yet another nightlife destination that stands apart.
“Our guests were looking for a late-night upscale nightlife destination in Brickell were they can enjoy the same level of service and entertainment they’ve come to expect at Marion and El Tucán,” said Mathieu Massa, CEO of Mr. Hospitality. “We’re excited to pioneer nightlife in Brickell and deliver a concept that would exceed their every expectation.”
For the November 30 grand reveal, Cristian Lex will be pumping up the crowd for local legend DJ Irie. Best known as the official DJ of the Miami Heat, Irie has collected various accolades throughout his successful career including the Global Spin Awards’ National Club DJ of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year award.
“I’m honored to be debuting what is sure to be a landmark Miami destination. The new concept that the Mr. Hospitality group has created is going to take Miami nightlife by storm”, says DJ Irie.
El Tucán will also be offering a limited food menu as part of their late night dining. The offerings feature a number of dishes that offer a refined twist on a Latin-Asian fare, including Wagyu beef kimchi taquitos and ahi tuna tostada.
El Tucán is a sophisticated modern-day cabaret that echoes Hollywood’s golden era, and is often frequented by notables including actor Will Smith and Victoria Secret model, Adriana Lima; Latin entertainment’s most luminescent stars, such as Cuban songstress, Albita Rodriguez; the multi-talented, Sissi Fleitas; and a host of international television stars and athletes. El Tucán recently hosted Marc Anthony and Maluma who filmed the chart-topping music video of “Felices Los Cuatro” and has served as a backdrop for countless high profile photo shoots as well as private events.
El Tucán Nightclub is located at 1111 SW 1st Ave and is open Thursday – Saturday, from 11 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. Reservations are highly encouraged and can be made by calling 305-535-0065.
