The luxury Brazilian furnishings brand Artefacto, which has long had a big presence in Miami (its owner lives here), had a mini groundbreaking ceremony early this month on its new US flagship store in Coral Gables.
Artefacto probably had something bigger planned originally, but you know, COVID-19 happened. With the obviously-already-under-construction building rising around them, CEO Paulo Bacchi stood for photographs with three other men in matching v-necks, jeans, and gold shovels. There was narry a face mask in sight, but hey, maybe they all live together.
The two story, 45,000-square-foot building is being designed by DOMO Architecture + Design, with interiors by Patricia Anastassiadis. Set to open mid-2021, this showroom, at 101 South Dixie Highway, is the company’s 28th location worldwide. The design looks like it will dramatically light up the street, with a staggered facade of giant windows, and living green walls.
