Smash & Grab has actively inspired and engaged Miami’s art communitysince 2003. Artists featured in Smash & Grab have exposure to top art collectors and art enthusiasts who each year vie for the limited number of tickets. Since its inception, we have seen art world newbies evolve into seasoned collectors, and artists featured at Smash & Grab have been sought out and championed by collectors who wereintroduced to them for the first time at Locust”, says Locust Projects’ new Executive Director, Lorie Mertes. TheSmash & Grab event is one of Locust Projects’ largest sources of revenue for the year and artists who donate receive a one-year pARTner membership which includes access to Locust’s LegalLink, pro bono legal services, as well as complimentary invites to Locust’s Spring Fling, one of Miami’s much-anticipated parties.
