Walter De Garmo’s 3467 N Moorings Way, at the Head of a Grand Canal, is on the Market for $8.75 Million

3467 N Moorings Way, designed by the classic Miami architect Walter De Garmo in 1929, is back on the market for a very nice $8.75 million. In addition to a fantastic restoration, some sublime historical details, a grand living room, a louche and luxuriant pool, and some fantastic gardens, the house sits at arguably the grandest spot in the exclusive enclave of The Moorings in Coconut Grove.

The house is stately situated at the end of a grand canal, with vistas down the canal and to Biscayne Bay at the end. The private road leading to the shared dockage at The Moorings’ marina wraps around the house, really giving the place presence. I wrote about it on Curbed Miami back in 2014 when it was listed for just slightly more money ($8.75 million to be exact) and it looks like the joint hasn’t lost any of its allure. It has jumped on and off the market since then.
